Who will win the NICCT India Business Award 2010?

Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of the Board of the Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce (NICCT), it gives me great pleasure to announce the NICCT India Business Award 2010 after the immensely successful event of last year where Hyva Group B.V. was honoured for excellence in exploring India-Netherlands business opportunities and the company Rag-Bag received an honourable mention. On the evening of the 16 September 2010, this prestigious prize will be awarded for the second time during a festive ceremony, continuing to add milestones to the long list of NICCT’s achievements. This award is sponsored by ING.

The rapid growth in the interest in India as an important player in the global economy, as an expanding market, as an investment destination and as a sourcing destination has increased the volume of business between the Netherlands and India significantly. The Netherlands business community has identified the opportunities offered by India. Export, import and investment figures support the same. In spite of the economic crisis, India achieved a growth rate of 7.4 percent in the financial year 2009 - 2010 and is expected to achieve a growth rate of 8.5 percent this year.

Against this backdrop of continuing growing interest and the tremendous response of last year, the NICCT will continue to recognize excellence in exploring India-Netherlands business opportunities by bestowing the India Business Award. The award will be presented at the NICCT India Business Dinner, in the presence of a large number of prominent members of the Dutch and Indian business communities.
